2025 Masters Odds, Picks, & Predictions: Longshot Bets
Augusta National Golf Club is where the world’s top golfers are gathered to play the 89th annual Masters Tournament this week. It’s the first of four majors on the 2025 PGA Tour, ending with one golfer donning the iconic green jacket.
This major has been dominated by Scottie Scheffler in recent years. The World No. 1 golfer is the defending champion and has won the Masters twice in the last three seasons, with Jon Rahm recording an outright win at 12-under-par in 2023. As a result, oddsmakers have Scheffler as the outright betting favorite at +400, followed by Rory McIlroy at +650 and Jon Rahm at +1300 odds.
Despite the big names in this field, I’m focusing on a couple of golfers with longshot odds to sprinkle on ahead of Round 1 on Thursday. Follow me on X at Matt_MacKay_ for more free bets and weekly PGA Tour analysis during the Masters.

2025 Masters: Longshot Bets
These plays are .25u and .10u, or 0.25% and 0.10% of your betting bankroll. Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.
Sepp Straka (+7500)
75-1 odds on Sepp Straka is a disrespectful number considering how well the Austrian golfer has played in 2025. Straka had his best performance at Augusta National in 2024, carding a T16 finish. His lowest round was a 71 (-1) in Round 2.
Straka ranks seventh in total strokes gained. This includes fifth SG: Approach, ninth in driving accuracy, second at finding greens in regulation (73.2%), and second in proximity. His putter isn’t a strength but Straka does rank 19th in putting average, second in scoring average, and third in birdie average.
A 0.25 unit sprinkle on Straka at 75-1 nets us nearly 20 units of profit if he winds up winning the Masters. His accuracy and tee-to-green prowess are enough for me to bite at this price. Plus, he’s already won an event in 2025 and has three top-ten finishes entering Round 1 at Augusta National on Thursday.
Putting will be difficult on the undulated Bentgrass greens, regardless of skill level. Therefore, I’ll gladly back a golfer like Straka who consistently gets close hole proximity.
Lucas Glover (+13000)
Another quality ball-striker with a mispriced number in the outright winner market is Lucas Glover. Glover tied his best finish in 11 appearances at the Masters in 2024 with a T20 finish. The veteran went even par or lower in two of four rounds.
Glover is 18th in total strokes gained. He’s 26th SG: Approach, third in driving accuracy, and fourth in proximity. Glover’s putting has been much more consistent in 2025, ranking 10th in putting average and 17th in putts per round. Still not convinced? He’s 28th in scoring average and 22nd in birdie average.
The only blemish on his performance is driving distance. Augusta National is fairly long at 7,555 yards, playing as a par 72. However, Glover’s finesse on approach and soft touch around the greens makes me want to invest a 0.10 unit wager on him to contend for the outright win at 130-1 odds.
Let’s bet 0.10 units on Glover to win outright and get 13 units of profit in return.
